Another Milestone Complete!!!!

Yesterday I left work early to go to a retirement party!! Carroll has been the County Clerk for Livingston County from 2003-2010. He has made great friendships and met lots of great people in that small town! He will be missed by all of his co-workers!!
Chris' grandpa, Carroll Walker, had reached what he thought was his last day of work....He infomed me that at about 10:00 that morning they asked him if he could come in to work today for a little while ;-) Here are some pictures from the great milestone!!
Presenting Carroll with a picture that will be hung in the new courthouse, when it is finished.

Christmas with the Boatwrights!! (My family)

On Christmas day every year, Chris and I wake up SUPER early!! We have our own little Christmas and exchange gifts followed by being at his mom's house by 7:30 (This year we set an exact time of 7:16, hehe Kelly) and then rush home to get ready and be at my Aunt Coco and Uncle Mike's by 9:30 for brunch, then are back across town by 12:00 to have lunch at, usually Phyllis' house (Kelly's mom), But this year at Chris' Uncle Phillip's house. Followed by a full day of food, family, and games. I did not bring my camera out at Phillips or Phyllis' this year for some strange reason so I will have to make sure and get pictures from other family memebers.I was too busy enjoying everyone that I just wasn't thinking. Here are a few pictures from my family gathering!!

We stayed at the lake house which is beautiful and enjoyed a boat ride, sat on the deck, enjoyed a glass of wine, and some of my father-in-laws great smoking talants of brisket and pork. Then as a family watched Elf, which Ashlan just informed me was her favorite movie. Good day!

WWII B-17 Bommer!!

Yesterday evening, Chris and I went to Midwest Aviation to tour a very rare plane!! The B-17 Bommer that was used during WWII. This plane is one of 12, B-17's left in the world. It is also one of only 4-6 still working. They were doing flights if you paid for them but were VERY expensive.  We did get to see it land, and every flight it took passed right over our house and work, so we saw it many times in the air.
