So recently I finshed school and since my boss is out of the office for a while... I am trying to find something to keep me entertained I was googleing simple craft ideas and ran across this....

Since Chris and I have a new entertainment center that we have mostly filled with books..... I thought this would be a cool addition..... While searching through the endless web pages of different "paper vases" I ran across this.... Thought it was cute..... And decided to share.... This would be great for a spring early summer part favor!!

The best woman on earth!! At least in my eyes!

This is me and my only living grandparent!! My Mema!! I love her more than words can say and always appreciates everything she has done for me over the years. She has picked me up when I was down and made me laugh when I was crying. She has taught me so many lessons. She has a heart of gold and a smile to prove it. She alwasy says that God will put jewels in her crown for the good things she has done...She is going to have a massive...heavy...crown! I love you Mema!

A Very Derby Birthday

Saturday May 7, 2011 was my 22nd birthday! To celebrate, we got together with some of Chris family and had a Derby Party. The girls wore hats they either made or bought. Here are some pictures of how I celebrated.

We all put in one or two dollars and drew either one or two names (of the horses) and that was your horse to cheer for during the race. The person who drew the name of the winning horse won the pot.

Chris bought the braclet and the clips one the left and right sides and the purple bead on the left. Phyllis bought me the stack of books charm that says study and Kelly Bought me the purple charm on the right.

Some other gifts were lotions and perfume, wine,and money.

I had a wonderful birthday and was very blessed with gifts! Thanks to all who took part!

The Crest

The river water has finally crested here and is starting to go down. From last week it has only dropped a little over one foot. It is expected to take as much as 10 days for water to go down in some areas, low enough for people to return to their homes. Please keep praying for our region.

Update

Friday I finally finished this crazy har semester! I was so excited to be finished and even more excited with my final grades!

After all I have been faced with this semester while taking 18 hours and working 36 hours a week. I am pleased with the outcomes!!!
